As a backend engineer, my angular journey began very gently. I started working on small frontend issues when no dedicated frontend engineer was available, to get things done more quick instead of waiting for someone else to do it.

There is a famous video that showcases some weird “features” of JavaScript. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend to check it out. It’s hilarious (and a bit frustrating at the same time).

In the previous post we saw how to build a script that scrapes the website of a local supermarket for beer promotions and returns the data as a clean JSON array.

Finally a quite day, it’s 10pm and I’ve basically done everything I wanted to do this day. So it would be reasonable to go to bed now. BUT… I could also start working on this idea that’s been in my head for a while…

So this is how it finally starts. Being a passionate computer scientist forces me to learn so many new things everyday to keep up with the rapidly chaning IT world - which is great! I love learning new things, I love learning about the future. However, the downside is that it is rather hard to keep so much information in my head and not forget it over the years. Therefore, starting today, I will write down the most important and interesting things I learn and do, not only to strengthen my own synapses, but also to make the information available to anyone in the world who might be interested in all of the various topics yet to follow.
